Happy snow day from good ol' Indiana! Please, hide your excitement. I'm actually sitting here freezing and being a big baby about all of the snow that we got last night. Who am I!? Harper and I spent our morning watching movies and eating popcorn, playing puzzles, playing hide and seek and baking yummy treats for the 9 hour car ride and are probably going to spend the rest of our afternoon packing, sledding and doing some more packing. We leave tonight at 9:30 for Alabama! I. CAN. NOT. WAIT. The weather is supposed to be fabulous and we're ready to lose the jackets, hats and gloves for a few days.
Watching: What don't I watch!? Kidding, I have so much to catch up on! Revenge, The Bachelor (I'm a huge fan of both Lindsay and Catherine, I'm excited to see who wins!) Greys Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars (in love with Aria's wardrobe. and Ezra. What a hunk!) and of course, The Lying Game! I also saw the Red Widow premier and it's so incredible, be sure to catch up on it so that you can watch the season with me! (And so I have someone to talk about it with!). The Bible. All I can say is WOW. How great is our God? I haven't been keeping up with Hart of Dixie, Parenthood or Once Upon A Time but will find time for them soon enough! If I wasn't the most impressive multi-tasker I would be completely out of the loop when it comes to Television. I usually do homework, blog posts and squeeze in an episode or two during nap time! *I can't wait to watch The Secret Life of the American Teenager again! (Hurry up March 18!)*
Thinking about: The wonderful people in my life. I'm so amazed at how much love Harper, Michael and I are showered with on a daily basis. It's incredible and we are beyond thankful. Our families have the most amazing love for us and we couldn't imagine anything more perfect than them. I'm also thinking about Spring! It's only a few weeks away and I'm growing more impatient by the minute. I'm so excited for Harper's birthday and birthday party, family pictures, cookouts, play dates at the park, being able to go for a walk without putting on 10 layers of clothes, gladiator sandals, maxi skirts and headbands! I was born to live in the south, I swear by it. I can only handle the cold in small doses. A good sled session is always fun! Plus, once Spring/Summer get here I'll be complaining about the heat the 5th week of summer, just watch! Ha!
Reading: Let's not talk about it. This is one thing that I haven't been able to fit into my daily schedule the past month or so. I'm embarrassing! I have been reading a lot of books to Harper though, so that has to count for something, right!? She has so much love in her heart for Eric Carle, which is everything that we've been reading lately. We have also been reading her Children's Bible, too! I really wish that I would have read Safe Haven. Michael and I saw the movie over our date weekend and it was so enjoyable. I cried, laughed and cried some more. (I'm not sure if Michael wanted me to share that he went and saw it with me, so if you see him, don't bring it up! I personally don't think he loses man points for seeing it, but just know that I drug him along. *wink)
Celebrating: Michael's birthday! Michael turns 21 on the thirteenth, the day after his bone marrow surgery for his jaw, so he isn't going to be able to do much celebrating. We figured that we would start now and celebrate up until the day of his surgery and continue the celebration when he's feeling better! I'm also celebrating him in general. Michael has been working so incredibly hard in school, SEDS and so many other things here at Purdue. He has been attending meetings and dinner parties with NASA over the last few weeks and I couldn't be more thrilled than he is! We also celebrated Valentine's Day over the weekend because we were both so busy and ended up having takeout on the living room floor rather than actually going out, so Michael's parent's took Harper last weekend (My second time every away from her. More to come on this later next week.) and we enjoyed a quiet evening to ourselves! I'm constantly reminded of how unbelievable this man truly is. I love him so.
Making me happy: Everything has been making me smile lately! I'm itching for nice weather! Girl scout cookies, Samoa's have snuck their way onto my "after dinner treat" list the past week and man oh man am I a sucker for them! Is it me or did they get smaller? Or is that my large thighs talking? Officially a fatty over here! Onto my next obsession ... If you haven't heard of Hello Apparel you are totally missing out. They have the most comfortable clothing that I have ever worn. I'm loving their leggings, my new hello pullovers and these 'right, left' leggings that I got for Harper. I may or may not have worn my Hello Pullover the past three days. SO. COMFORTABLE! I've been doing so much spring shopping, which makes me incredibly happy but my bank account, not so much! I went crazy at H&M the other day and bought so many outfits and accessories for spring! I officially own a bubble necklace too, which is something to cheer about! I must have missed the memo way back! Harper's wardrobe got a little lovin' too, from both H&M and Target! They are both my weakness and I couldn't turn away those amazing prices. Speaking of Target, I've been decorating for spring since February 15th and have fallen so in love with all of the decor that I've found. I still haven't ordered Harper's Easter Basket, which I need to do ASAP. WHAT ABOUT YOU!?
